Privacy Policy

What we collect

The only place this website collects personal information is the enquiry form on our Get a quote page. That form asks for:

• Required — first name, last name, email address, project type, budget range, and your project details.
• Optional — phone number, company name, current website address, target launch date, and how you heard about us.

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, financial information such as card or bank details, government identification numbers, or passwords.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and carry out work you engage us for. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not send marketing email to people who have only enquired.

Consent

Submitting the enquiry form is your consent for us to contact you about that enquiry. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, and we will stop contacting you and delete what we hold, unless we are required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. It is shared only with the service providers we need to operate:

• Our form-handling provider, which delivers form submissions to our inbox.
• Our email provider, which stores the correspondence.
• Our web host, which keeps standard server logs.

If we ever need to share your information more widely than this, we will ask you first.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and runs no tracking pixels. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and no third-party advertising tag on any page.

One technical item is stored in your browser: a single sessionStorage entry that records whether you have already seen the site’s opening animation, so it does not replay on every page. It contains no personal information, never leaves your device, and is cleared when you close the tab.

Third-party requests

Some parts of the site load from other companies’ servers, which means those companies receive your IP address and basic browser information as a normal part of serving the file:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — the typefaces used across the site.
• Cloudflare cdnjs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — the animation library used on the home page.

We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, how those companies handle that information. Their own privacy policies apply.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to work we have actually carried out are kept for seven years, which is the period Canadian tax rules require business records to be retained.

How we protect it

This site is served over HTTPS, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiries is limited to the people at Hemus who need it to respond to you.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and Alberta’s PIPA you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days, free of charge.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the page itself.
